Flying From Florida to Alaska

Johnathan and Jeff had an epic voyage ferrying a Cessna 150 from Florida to Alaska, and arrived home the day after Labor Day. The voyage covered 4,100 miles and they traveled at speeds between 60-134 mph. They are glad to be back home in Alaska.

The Lord was faithful to them on the trip. He provided a friendly mechanic in Georgia who fixed a dry-rotted fuel line and a Christian-owned shop owner in Indiana who found a spot in his schedule to fix a stuck exhaust valve. Jeff was stressed about dealing with Canadian customs, but after a COVID test, lots of paperwork, and an unfriendly phone agent - once they arrived at the border, the Lord answered prayer and provided some friendly border agents that cleared them within a few minutes.

From northern Montana and across half of Canada, they had to deal with severe winds of 35-45 mph on landing, but the Lord gave them numerous safe landings in the small aircraft despite the treacherous winds.

We are thankful for all the help from our friends and family along the way, and we are especially thankful for all your prayers. The Lord surely hears our prayers!

Please be praying that the Lord would bless our vision for a discipleship/flight training program over the coming years with this little airplane. Jeff is training Johnathan for his private pilot license, and they have been doing discipleship over the past year.

Bless the Lord, O my soul!

"O Lord my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty, covering yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent. He lays the beams of his chambers on the waters; he makes the clouds his chariot; he rides on the wings of the wind; he makes his messengers winds, his ministers a flaming fire."
Psalm 104:1-4
