Fall Flyby

Let me highlight some of the blessings from the past year.

One of my main joys was watching my children lead a program where they shared the gospel through engaging Bible lessons and lively puppet shows at the two camps. And I was delighted that thanks to your generous contributions, Soaring for Christ was able to facilitate the spiritual growth of campers by funding their participation in Bible Camp where they were immersed in God's Word.

During one evening in the craft shack while I was attempting to contact Ellesha using Starlink, a young camper approached me with news that truly warmed my heart. He shared without any prompting, “Jeff, I got saved this week at camp.” My initial congratulations seemed insufficient as he elaborated, “You don't understand. I am known as the bad kid in my village, but God saved me this week.” I was encouraged to witness such a bold confession of faith from a young man.

Additionally, my family had the pleasure of serving again at Kako's Family Camp, Elementary Camp, and the Ladies Retreat. At Kokrine's elementary camp, we were joined by a family from Georgia who we used to fellowship with back in Cincinnati, Ohio.

On a flight back with the kids from camp, I asked one camper about his summer plans. He said his goal was to delve deeper into the Bible, and that his favorite camp experiences were the preaching sessions and times of worship. These glimpses of faith showcase the impact of our efforts and the spiritual impact upon the young campers.

Please pray for the spread of the Gospel in the isolated regions of Alaska, where the spiritual need is as critical as in any urban area. Please also pray for the health of Ellesha and myself. We seek renewed strength as we follow God in Alaska and a clear vision of advancing His Kingdom. Your prayers are invaluable, your love is unstoppable, and your support for Soaring for Christ is essential.
