2nd Cherokee 6

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."

Matthew 7:7

The Lord provided a second Cherokee Six to support the ministry flying. Obviously, Jeff can’t fly two planes at once. This is an investment to provide transportation primarily for Kokrine Hills Bible Camp, but also for future ministry opportunities. We have another missionary pilot, Billy, who is willing to fly the plane for camp this summer. We purchased the aircraft 90% with our retirement savings and 10% with our personal savings.  We now have more personally invested in the planes used for the ministry than in our retirement account.

We are trying to retain our ministry savings to help pay for the additional insurance and various maintenance costs. This will increase our expenses by seven thousand dollars due to additional insurance on this aircraft and a couple thousand possibly for some aircraft upgrades: fuel flow, engine monitoring, and possibly ADSB receiver.

Jeff heard a few Sundays ago that we should invest our time, talents, and treasure in the Kingdom of God. Before we moved to Alaska, Jeff said he never wanted to own another airplane due to the large investment of time and treasure. However, we believe it is a worthy investment due to the ministry's needs and it is more manageable with the help of ministry maintenance partners like GCA and MARC.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Matt 6:33
