Fall Festival: The Seven C's — Soaring for Christ

This year’s Fall Festival was a success! We based it on our VBS theme: a jungle journey through the Seven C’s of History. Since we have so many decorations from VBS, we decided that it made sense to use the same stuff for VBS and the Fall Festival.

Our church’s youth group helped put up all of the decorations the Wednesday before the event, and it was amazing how fast everything got done! In years past I remember spending hours upon hours setting things up.

During the event, there were seven games for each of the Seven C’s. The goal was to collect a sticker at every station and then receive your prize.

At the station I helped with, Catastrophe (which talked about the Flood), there was one kid who was asking some really good questions. One thing he said was, “I’ve never read about this stuff in my history books.” My friend who was talking to him explained that what we were telling him about was written in the Bible and that Christians believe there is evidence that the Bible is true.

The puppet show we put on was a Back to the Future-themed trip through time called Back to the Scriptures. Even though I finished it last minute, a lot of people said it was the best one we’ve put on so far.

We had a great time sharing the Gospel with our community, and we’re grateful for all the help we had in making it happen.
