A Very Busy Week

A lot has happened in the past few days.

Driving the camper back.

Jeff, Ellesha, Elliana, and Molly left Kokrine on Saturday to pick up the camper from Nenana and begin driving back to our home in Big Lake. Johnathan and Lael, on the other hand, left Kokrine on Sunday with the Bailey’s. Along the way back, they stopped in the village of Ruby to visit the local church.

The Sled Dogs

In Ruby, they met Jordan Martin and his kids who are missionaries there. Jordan told them what it was like being a missionary in Ruby and took them to see his and a friend's sled dogs.

In the days after we’ve been back, Jeff flew the Blue Cherokee back to Nenana with his brother Wayne, and then flew the Cessna 150 to Big Lake. The 150 needed to come back so its annual could be done, so the day after that, Jeff and Billy flew the 150 to MARC (Missionary Aviation Repair Center) in Soldotna, and then they flew Billy’s Maule back to Big Lake. (The Maule had been sitting in Soldotna for awhile.)

Yes. That was a lot of different airplanes, to a lot of different places, in a short amount of time.

In addition to all that, today we drove down to the Soldotna area in our camper to go fishing with Rich. On Sunday evening, we went dip netting at the Kenai river. Sadly, Johnathan was the only one to catch a fish. But thankfully, it at least wasn't a very tiny fish

Now, after we are done with fishing, we thought that we’d have a break, but the director for Kako Retreat Center recently told us that he could use help flying for Berry Picking Camp. Berry Camp is a time for the ladies who live in western Alaska villages to spend time together and learn from each other. And, of course, to pick berries.

It's funny because just a few days ago we were like, "Well, I guess Bible Camp season is over for the year." But, I guess we were wrong. And to get there in time, we’d have to leave a day or two after we get back from fishing!

So, that’s what’s been going on around here for the past few days and our plans for the next two weeks.

You can pray for the energy to navigate all these opportunities, and praise God for all he’s done so far.

Praise the Lord!

“I love you, O Lord, my strength.”
